Notes from Part 3
- Run Time: 18m 43s
- It was convenient that the Chest of the Bonerdagon got me to level 8. I expected to already be on level 8 by the time I fought that battle. If I hadn’t made it by then I probably would have fought a couple of battles in Menagerie Level 3.
- I shored in the moxie area in an attempt to get a barbed-wire fence. No dice.
- The decision to shore before going to the Goatlet might seem strange, but I planned it in advance. The goal was to have the Goatlet and Pirate quests running at the same time so I could manipulate the queue at the Goatlet (that is, whenever I fought a dairy goat, I switched to the Pirate’s Cove for several adventures to get that dairy goat out of the queue and raise the chances of one showing up when I returned). It ended up working out pretty well, though not in the part you just saw.
Blunders:
- Before heading to the Defiled Alcove, I dropped Ur-Kel’s Aria and cast Phat Loot. I was doing that to help me get loose teeth. I had forgotten that I’d already gotten teeth from a skull bat.
- I should have equipped the miner’s pants as soon as I got them. They would have reduced damage much better than Harem Pants.
Coming up in Part 4:
- Finish farming pirate gear and goat cheese. Killing some yetis and working on the leaflet (I leave out the secret code, because I’m mean like that).
